Digital Story #3

What? So this week we finished our Digital Story. We made it through imovie. I decided that is an awesome program I want to own someday. It took a little while to match the music with photos and giving narration but I think we made a good mix to catch the emotion we wanted.

So what? One thing I have realized since the start of this program that teachers are to be forever busy. So as a student becoming a teacher I am too. This Digital Story took a lot of time and work. I know that when you do a lot they get easier and you can do them a lot faster but of course that take practice.

Digital Stories are definitely something you need to have already stored in your filing cabinet ready when you need them. Like I said before they can be extremely useful in getting that interesting, emotional edge in your lesson. When I see my future students learning and getting the connection I want then I know all my time and effort will be worth it.

Now what? I really love my finished product. I am excited to try more and have a whole bunch of them in my repertoire. Then my student will get a whole bunch of excited hooks for a new unit or lesson. I know this will reach a lot of students in a new way they have maybe never seen before.

I think if I have a bunch of them available my department will really appreciate my hard work. They will see how much I care about my students and they can use them for their students as well. I know that we can all collaborate to my our school the greatest, using many different ways to reach our students.

Video Reflection: Our Digital Story: Immigration
I decided to post my own digital story because I decided it was the best one out there! Well if not at least I think it is pretty good. I want to show you all my hard work and I hope you enjoy it and will able to use it in your classroom someday. I think it will give them that emotion connection of immigrant coming to our great nation!
